Dexter!

I wanted to take a minute and let my little white dog Dexter know that I didn't forget about his birthday! He is 9 years old and I can't believe we have been together that long! I really miss him, but it is really fun to go home and visit! I hope he had a great day of birthday fun and playing with all his new toys!

Midterms, Hunting and More!

Sorry we've been MIA! It's been a busy month! School has been pretty stressful with midterms and clinicals. We take these midterms called ATI tests and its kinda rough cus it is an outside program that comes in and tests us. Its hard cus we haven't covered all the material that is on the test so pretty much it is like taking a final for a midterm:( I'm starting to realize that A's are rare and that as long as ya get a 74% or above you're doing great! So far so good, I've passed 2 out of 3 test and I have my last midterm this friday so hopefully I'll be 3 out of 3! I guess after that I'll have to start studying for finals since they are ATI tests too! ha ha can't wait! I've finished up my clinicals in St. George so that is good I'm glad I never had to drive in the snow. I got to see and do a lot of cool things. So far, I've watched a total shoulder replacement surgery, a broncoscopy, and a chest tube placement. Yesterday morning I got to go do blood draws, it was my first time ever doing that (we have only been taught IV's and they are a little different). It was really cool. The girl I shadowed was a great teacher and I was able to do draws on about ten patients. I am finding things I really like and really dislike about the nursing profession, but I guess that is good so someday if I ever graduate I'll be able to find a job I really enjoy.
Bode spent part of the month hunting and he was very successful he got a four point (i think?) He's not here right now to correct me if i'm wrong. He went to escalante today to do some burning so he'll be gone for a few days, but when he gets back I'll make him blog about it:) He had the day off yesterday so he went hunting coyotes. He got two of them so he was pretty happy about that. Besides all the hunting he's been busy working and being the maid around here (I think I've trained him pretty good!) I'll be glad when he comes back, I hate it when he is gone! Its a good thing that Taylor Swift just released her new cd it makes my house not so quiet and it is really good so if your a country fan I suggest getting it!
The only other news we have is that we are moving to a new apartment. We will miss out little duplex we had a good year here:) Since the economy is a little scary right now we figure it is probably smarter to live a little cheaper and save some extra money. The new place is the same size as our duplex, but it doesn't have a yard. It's not like we used the yard anyways, so we will save $100+ a month by moving so it adds up fast. We are excited we know a few people who live at that complex so it will be fun to have neighbors that we know (and that hopefully don't fight:) ha ha!) We went bowling with some friends the other weekend here are some pictures! (By the ways I was the winner of both games with a phenominal score of 122 both times:) ha ha, Bode hates that I always beat him at everything!)
